About Nick

I am married, and have two delightful young children, Max and Ella. I live in Frome, England.  I am a qualified a Chartered Accountant having qualified with Pricewaterhouse Coopers in 1995 and worked in their Business Development Group until 1997. Since then I have been a trainer and executive coach. I train in Business Strategy, Organisational Management, Information strategy and Procurement and also undertake one-to-one coaching with business managers and directors.

My interest in personal development goes back over 15 years and really took hold when I did training in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) in which I am a Master Practitioner.

The story behind the course

After many years of reading personal development books and attending personal development courses, I felt that something was missing from the field. The techniques I had learnt and used provided a tremendous chance to achieve excellence in life, yet I saw many people, myself included, only getting a limited benefit from their use. The problem is that many people use and experiment with the techniques, realise their appropriateness, but do not focus on using them consistently, and not specifically directed in the areas of real importance to their life.

In my work as a lecturer in business strategy, I also saw that successful businesses managed to avoid this fate. They manage what they do and how they do it to ensure they continue to thrive in a changing world. I asked myself the crucial question: How can the ways in which businesses ensure their continued success be used by individuals to ensure they too are successful?

In the Management of Life I have taken one of the key ideas from business theory, the “rational model” and combined it with the latest in personal development techniques to build a simple framework which ensures that the personal development techniques are not just applied randomly, but are focused on moving an individual forward in a direction which is right for them, and which encourages learning from ongoing experiences.

The result is a new, fresh approach to living a fulfilled and happy life.

My aims for the course

My aim is for over 10,000 people to have taken the course by 2014 and their lives have been significantly improved through undertaking the programme.
I hope that you will be one of them.
